Chapter Five. At the Bar.

Damon and Elena had been drinking for a couple of hours and were both quite drunk.
Damon turned to see two blonde haired women approaching their table. They completely ignored Elena and both smiled at him. "Hello stranger. Want to join us?" One of the women leaned in closer to him whilst the other stood behind her, smirking.
Damon held his hand up to prevent the woman from moving any closer to him. "Sorry ladies, no thanks." He leaned in and spoke into one the womans ear, loud enough for her to get the message, too quiet for Elena to hear: "there's only one woman for me." He smiled and waved good bye to them.
Elena raised her eyebrows and gave them both a sour look as they turned and left.
Seeing the expression on Elena's face, Damon smirked, satisfied and took a long swig from his glass.
Elena tapped her fingers on the table in annoyance, which provoked another smirk on Damon's face."
Not jealous are you Elena?" Damon winked and grinned at her.
Elena ignored the question and downed her drink.
She smiled at him. "I'mmm drunk, I don't careee."
Damon laughed. "Me too." He moved closer to her and put his arm around her shoulder. "You're my number one girl and you always will be."
Elena giggled and blushed. "Good." She smiled, satisfied, grabbed a shot and downed it.
Damon looked at her concerned. "I think you've had enough." He laughed. "I think I have too."

Damon got out his phone and ordered a cab back to the hotel.
Elena had gotten the hiccups and was laughing to herself every time one escaped.
Damon smiled as he watched her. His heart fluttered like a teenager.
"Come on Miss Gilbert. Home time." He got out of his seat and picked her up out of hers.
He wasn't nearly as drunk as her, he was just a bit tipsy. She picked her up and carried her outside.
The cold air hit them and Elena shivered.
Damon set her down, still holding her up and wrapped his leather jacket around her shoulders.
Elena smiled at him. "Thank you." She hiccuped again and began to giggle.
Damon shook his head and laughed along with her. "No more drinking for you."
The cab arrived and Damon put Elena into the backseat before climbing in himself.
They arrived back at the hotel and Damon carried Elena inside.
He set her down on her bed, took off her shoes and wrapped her up inside the sheets.
She had already fallen asleep and her breathing had slowed.
Damon gazed down at her and smiled, he thought he could never love anymore more than he loved Katherine, but he was wrong. He loved Elena more than he had ever loved Katherine.
He leaned down and kissed her forehead softly before leaving for his own bed.

  1. Hello, my dear anonymous writer :D I'm sorry, but I don't know your name :(
I just wanted to say that I really like your fic, you are quite talented and IMO you should continue your writing, since you already have fans =D [or at least one fan]
One piece of advice I'd like to give you, if of course you don't mind it, is this: I think your chapters are too short:( If I were you, I would have, I don't know, maybe merged two chapters in or to form one? Maybe it's just me, but it seems that you are hurrying the action, maybe if you described more the atmosphere, the scenery, their feelings..
Anyway, I really hope my comment didn't upset you, I want to congratulate you on everything you've done so far and to wish you good luck and inspiration for the next chapters!

    Kisses,
    Sabina

  2. Thank you sweetie!
    I'm Chloe :)
Thank you so much, that really means a lot to me. I want to be a writer so, it really does mean a lot.
Thank you for the advice, the plan of this fanfic was to write short chapters. I run a number of TVD blogs with a large amount of followers and I also attend college all week, so I don't have the time to write very long chapters, although I would if I could.
But no don't worry of course it didn't upset me! Thank you very much for your kind words! <3
